DANCESONG

Come dance with me on the grassy dew

In the early morn, let me dance with you.

Bare feet on lawns of grass green-blue,

Come and let me dance with you.

Come dance with me, ‘neath sunlit skies

As rays of sun land on our eyes.

We’ll jump and tap in sweet surprise.

We’ll dip down low and reach up high.

Come dancing in the morning sky.

Come let us dance as snowflakes do.

We’ll be the music, we’ll be the tune.

We’ll dance to the magic of floating balloons

Through nights and mornings and afternoons.

Come dance with me in the gentle rain.

We’ll laugh and twirl to its refrain,

While listening to its sound so plain…

Of clapping hands, applauding rain.

Come dance and bow to the clapping strain.

Come dance inside my eyes with me

To share the beautiful things I see.

Prince and Princess dancing free.

Come see the dreams of things to be.

Deep in the night, come dance with me.
