Courage Call
In darkness I recall the screams
Broken glass and shattered dreams
Squealing sirens and flashing lights
Slamming, shouting, senseless fights.
While I relive dysfunction's hell
And sworn-to-silence I carried well
I travel back to each past minute
And dwell on pain imprisoned in it.
But.... |
Now it's time for letting go
And dare to hope, to blossom, to grow
Leave behind the anger and blame
Put to rest the lingering pain
Walk from where I need not return
Take with me all the lessons I've learned
Call on the courage to set myself free
Releasing the spirit inside of me. |
